Ian Forgie has more than five years’ experience litigating employment-related disputes and advising employers and individuals regarding California and federal employment matters. Mr. Forgie represents clients in state and federal employment litigation, including mediations, arbitrations, and administrative claims. Additionally, Mr. Forgie counsels clients regarding a variety of employment-related compliance concerns, including employee compensation, anti-discrimination policies and procedures, leaves of absence, and discipline and termination matters. Mr. Forgie has expertise in litigating wage-and-hour class actions and PAGA disputes. Mr. Forgie is also experienced in conducting sensitive workplace investigations.
Mr. Forgie began his career at the predecessor firm to Lawson & Lawson LLP. He subsequently practiced at a boutique employment litigation and counseling firm in San Francisco, and then at a firm specializing in wage & hour class actions, before returning to Lawson & Lawson in 2021. Outside the office, Mr. Forgie enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, playing soccer, and learning Arabic and Spanish.
